Invitation to Service

On Wednesday, March 6, 2024 the Kiwanis Club of Brattleboro hosted a gathering of members of our local club, Kiwanis International volunteer staff, and area club members from Keene, Winchester, and Claremont to meet and talk with perspective new members. Kiwanis International volunteer staff, the District Governor of New England and the Bahamas, and members of the Brattleboro club stood up and explained their reasons for being members. All in all, we gained new members, had a fellowship gathering with the other Clubs, and reinforced why we keep choosing to make Kiwanis Club of Brattleboro a force in improving the lives of children and families in the area.

  • When: Wednesday, March 6 at 6pm
  • Where: Elks Club Brattleboro – 75 Putney Rd, Brattleboro VT
  • Who: Club members, Kiwanis Volunteer Staff, and interested members of the community
  • Why: Because you want to make a difference in the lives of area children and so they can make the world a better place.

The Kiwanis mission
Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world one child and one community at a time.

The Kiwanis vision
Kiwanis will be a positive influence in communities worldwide — so that one day, all children will wake up in communities that believe in them, nurture them and provide the support they need to thrive.

The Kiwanis motto
Serving the children of the world

Kiwanis clubs and members conduct service projects. They hold fundraisers. They donate to the Kiwanis Children’s Fund. They change children’s lives in their own communities and through international initiatives — helping young people develop mentally, physically and emotionally

Every year, Kiwanis members stage more than 241,000 service projects and raise nearly US$340 million for children, families and communities around the world. Kiwanis club projects are based on the community’s needs — we build playgrounds, purchase medical equipment, stuff backpacks with school supplies, restock libraries and much more. The average Kiwanian makes an impact on the lives of 106 children.
